Young Catherine Langford embarks on an unexpected adventure to unlock the mystery of what lies beyond the Stargate in order to save the Earth from darkness. Just started watching all of these and am appalled at how many things go against already established lore of stargate. They screwed up royally. They really should of got writers and producer's that have actually watched all of sg-1 and movies. Even just simple things they have got wrong. And a few major things. I cant even be bothered to write the list of all the things down as it would be too long and I've only got to the 5th episode. How could they do this to such a great franchise that has more than 17 years worth of established lore and such a huge fan base. Yes it is a good show if there wasn't already established lore and canon. It seems like they have made it for new people to the series not the loyal fan base of stargate. Not happy at all. First of all, I'll take any Stargate I can.

But this, this wasn't anything near what I would have hoped to see from the long wait after the end of SGU. Firstly and what annoys me the most is that the director or writers decided to put their own spin on things. Firstly the gate sounds, abrupt, shallow and with no satisfaction. Secondly the CGI (so far) is mabye, just mabye as good as early SG-1, and considering the advancements in CGI, I'd expect better.

The acting is okay, believable enough if you pay attention to the lore. But from the get-go, a 1D "villian", with stereotypical Nazis Germany Officer behaviour which honestly takes me right out of it.

UPDATE /// Watching further is getting me more angry. For example, the lead female explains how she "saw" the stars going through the gate. If the writers had actually payed attention to SG1/Atlantis, they'd know that you are materialised upon entering the gate, meaning you would remember nothing.

Upon further review, do not watch this! AT ALL. SGU had a decent ending, and I'd like it to remain that way, unless you get the actual writers that came before. This is a pathetic atempt to "re-boot" the Stargate image.
